The brand "DENIM TEARS" was created by Tremaine Emory in 2019. The jack-of-all-trades master class Tremaine Emory is a creative consultant who has worked with Stussy, Marc Jacobs, Kanye West, Frank Ocean, A$AP MOB, and many, many more. His vision and theme behind "DENIM TEARS" is based around the concept of wanting to communicate the story and history of African Americans who were subjected to slavery since 1619 to pick cotton. Launching his debut collection on the 400th anniversary day of when slavery began in America. Although a heavy topic, Tremaine's goal is not to blame but to bring altruistic change through reflection and understanding of the exploitation of African-American people and cotton; with the ultimate goal being to inspire people and inspire confidence within African-American people.
