In 1906 Boston, William J. Riley started what is now one of the world’s largest sports brands, New Balance. Initially a shoe repair business for bettering arch support, the company then began manufacturing custom running shoes in the 1960s. After changing ownership to James S. Davis, New Balance saw an addition of new products and expanded into a global company. Now with a wide variety of shoes for different sports, apparel, and collaborations from celebrities to luxury brands to sports associations, New Balance is one of the most well-known brands in the world.
