GLOWNY and NUBIAN WOMENS, a leading Korean brand beloved by many Korean idols and other celebrities, held their first pop-up store in Japan. Many influencers attended the reception party, creating a lively atmosphere.
This time, the POP-UP STORE will focus on Korean brands as NUBIAN WOMENS, and will feature six brands alongside various other brands from July 18th to September 1st. GLOWNY will be held for 10 days from August 3rd to August 11th.
The day before, a reception party was held to commemorate the opening, and among the visitors were influencers who are extremely popular with Gen Z, such as Michi, Nagomi, Toua, Idegami Baku, and Aoki Hitomi. In addition, actress Choi Gyu-ri, who has appeared in many Korean dramas, also came to Japan specially for the event.
The DJs were UNA, who is active in various fashion events, YUN, who also works as a model, and TRUEUNSOL, who is gaining attention in Korea, who came to Japan and livened up the event with their dazzling music.
To commemorate the event, special order items were also created, including the black GIRLFRIEND LACE RUFFLE MINI SKIRT, which features voluminous lace, and the limited edition black I♡GY TEE, which is only sold in-store in Korea, which incorporates the NUBIAN style into the brand's worldview.
The looks were shot under the theme of "GLOWNY in Tokyo." Monako, a popular influencer in Japan and Korea, was chosen as the model, and a story unique to Tokyo was created with the neon streets and backstreets of Shibuya as a backdrop.
On the first day of opening, the store was crowded with so many GLOWNY fans that a line formed as soon as the store opened, and many items were sold out from the first day. The interior of the store, reminiscent of a directly managed store in Korea, was decorated with photogenic displays, which became a hot topic on social media, and this pop-up store has firmly established its popularity in Japan.
