RECOGNIZE

Japanese DJ and producer Muro launched his brand Recognize, commemorating the documentary Style Wars. The film was filmed in The Bronx and released in 1983, showcasing early hip hop culture from the 70s onward. Muro was building his career around this time and was heavily influenced by the culture. Graphic t-shirts with scenes from the movie can be found in Recognize’s lineup, along with collaborations with Japanese brands Mihara and Bow Wow.
