The brand UNDERCOVER was established in 1993 by Jun Takahashi while he was still just a student attending Bunka Fashion College. His brand has always revolved around various fashion, art, music, and subcultures from the UK to America; with the most noticeable influence coming from british punk rock aesthetics. Now having risen to a legendary status amongst the Urahara culture and fashion as a whole, he continues to innovate each collection implmenting new unique world views as the inspiration. Jun Takahashi is also famous for "NOWHERE" a store he opened with the now famous "NIGO" of BAPE in Harajuku in 1993. Along with the brand "A.F.F.A" with Hiroshi Fujiwara in the same year. From the moment it would open the brand garnered a cult-like following for innovating and changing the fashion in japan's streets. This lead to the explosion of the Urahara style that took over the 90's and early 2000's. The collections were in such high demand while the stock was so limited that the items became premium. They are still constantly sought after as modern day archival pieces. "Undercoverism" is a men's sub-label of UNDERCOVER that has been on hiatus since 2015, making it's comeback debut in 2021. This is a new and seperate line from the previously integrated "Undercoverism".
