"BASICKS" is a unisex brand by Masanori Morikawa, a former designer of CHRISTIAN DADA. The brand concept is "circulation/outlining of everyday clothes". Based on basic designs, all the pieces are sewn with white stitching, and by "circulating/outlining", the design is made visible in everyday clothes. By giving the meaning of outline to the white stitching work that is also present in existing designs, a new value is added, similar to the idea of readymade in the art scene, and the proposal is that the "outline" will remain unchanged and circulate no matter what the trends and styles change. It asks, "What are clothes, fashion, and design?" The brand name "Basicks" comes from the meaning of Basics, a coined word that combines the two, Basic, which is a slang word meaning uncool, and Sick, which means cool. In addition, Basicks is committed to the concept of "circulation" and is committed to using organic and sustainable materials for most of its fabric products.
