Nas continues to reign as one of the best lyricists leading the US hip-hop scene, having won a Grammy Award. He started his career in 1991 with a rap battle on the posse cut "Live At The BBQ" by Main Source under the name Nasty Nas, and after signing with Columbia Records in the United States, he released his debut album "Illmatic" in 1994, which included masterpieces such as "It Ain't Hard To Tell", "The World Is Yours", "One Love (feat. Q-Tip)", and "NY State Of Mind". It left a tremendous impact on the hip-hop world, and is still revered by many people today.
