"ERNEST W. BAKER" was founded in 2016 by Reid Baker and Inês Amorim. The brand name is taken from Reid's grandfather, an advertising man who was active in Detroit in the 1960s. Inspired by the vintage suits and clothing that were in Ernest's closet at the time, the brand expresses a nostalgic yet modern image of a man that is never outdated. The creations that combine the European elegance and American roughness that are the roots of each designer have been highly praised, and the brand was selected as a finalist for the LVMH Prize in 2018.
