JUNTAE KIM

JUNTAE KIM was selected as a semi-finalist for the 2023 LVMH PRIZE and has been drawing a lot of attention. A graduate of Central Saint Martins University in London, JUNTAE KIM is from South Korea and is exploring new forms of clothing that incorporate gender fluidity, focusing on reconsidering the discrepancy between the silhouettes of historical women's clothing and the shapes and details of modern men's clothing. He advocates that "true beauty lies not in tightening the body, but rather in relaxing it," and aims to fuse traditional craft techniques with modern technology using sustainable materials, providing a new perspective on future fashion.
