J.W. Anderson
Born in Northern Ireland in 1984. He studied theater in the United States and majored in menswear at the London College of Fashion. While still a student, he gained experience as a visual merchandiser at department stores such as Brown Thomas and Selfridges. In 2009, he made his debut with a menswear collection during London Fashion Week. He then started a womenswear line with the Fall/Winter 2010 collection. In 2010, he was appointed creative director of the long-established British brand SUNSPEL, where he successfully revitalized the brand and was highly praised for his skills. He has also had a successful collaboration with Topshop, and in 2014, he was appointed creative director of LOEWE, where he has attracted attention as a new generation designer representing London, combining creativity with business sense. Breaking away from existing concepts of unisex or genderless, the brand embodies designs and forms that transcend the boundaries between men's and women's wear, creating new proportions.
