OAO is a Japanese footwear brand that pursues both comfort for urban living and a design that appeals to sensitivity. An installation will be held at our Harajuku store from Friday, July 10th to Thursday, July 16th. This installation will feature the brand's signature footwear "SUNLIGHT" as well as the "LES ARCS" apparel collection released this season.
The "LES ARCS" series is a collection inspired by the masterpiece "LES ARCS CHAIR" selected by French architect Charlotte Perriand for a ski resort. It incorporates linear pattern work reminiscent of the chair's structural form, and details such as meticulously placed stitches and rivets, expressing a timeless design in both footwear and apparel.

The "SUNLIGHT" series, inspired by sculptor Isamu Noguchi's "AKARI" lighting works, is a brand-defining collection that combines details reminiscent of the graceful curves of bamboo and the warmth of Washi paper with excellent cushioning. Among them, the series' flagship model "SUNLIGHT" features Vibram®'s latest sole, approximately 5.8cm thick, and a combination of a high-rebound urethane insole and a cork midsole, achieving the softest fit to date.
