Japanese designer Takahiro Miyashita launched his brand TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. in 2009 after leaving his designer role for avant-garde brand Number (N)ine. With the desire to create clothing based off of his own personal taste and interests, Miyashita named his brand TheSoloist. Miyashita’s avant-garde background blends with inspiration from military, western, and rock n’ roll, cleverly layering each piece to create asymmetrical and innovative silhouettes on a dark color palette. Miyashita's unique take on fashion has been a hit not only in Japan but among fashion communities around the world.
