Taiwanese-American designer Alexander Wang launched his brand in 2004. While attending Parsons School of Design in New York, Wang interned at brands like Marc Jacobs and Derek Lam and eventually dropped out of college to pursue his professional career. In 2007 after presenting a full womenswear collection at New York Fashion Week, Wang received industry praise. The brand continued to grow when opening the New York Soho flagship store in 2011, collaborating with brands like H&M and Adidas, Wang’s time as creative director at Balenciaga, and hosting the 2016 New York Fashion Week show.
