New Balance will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 990 in 2022.
The sixth edition of the 990 series, the M990 V6, will be sold by lottery.

In 1982, New Balance's best technology was brought together.
The first generation was born as a running shoe.
This pair of shoes is designed to provide the ultimate comfort.
Since then, the design of the flagship model has been inherited.
Updates continued, and in 1998 the 990V2 was released.
The 990V3 was released in 2012, the 990V4 in 2016, and the 990V5 in 2019.
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the series, the 990V6 has been released, designed by TEDDY SANTIS, who was appointed creative director. The upper is dyed in a traditional grey base.
It creates a rounded silhouette characteristic of the 990 series.
The parts are cut out into an oval shape,
The midsole also features smoothly flowing, three-dimensional lines engraved into it.
The N logo on the side is larger than usual, adding an extra accent.
The soles are also used in running shoes.
Equipped with FUELCELL for improved specs.
