The British shoe brand Clarks has released the SS25 collection "Coming Up Roses" in collaboration with designer Martine Rose. This new endeavor, marking the 200th anniversary of the brand's founding, challenges the limits of modern design while respecting tradition. Martine Rose, Clarks' first guest creative director, has taken the essence of Clarks' dress shoes and created a new beauty through expanded forms, exposed beauty, and the overlapping of materials that resonate with the inside and outside.
- Tailoring as structural beauty that deliberately shows the process of craftsmanship - Traditional leather materials selected from the Clarks archives - Rose's signature "mock croc" texture - Intentional roughness added by raw edges
Martine Rose reinterprets two iconic silhouettes: the Derby, a bold take on the traditional men's dress shoe, with a raw outsole and center seam, and the Toe View, a subtle yet sophisticated design with a shape that flatters the natural form.
